- awesome lesbian bar
The Royale is an obvious choice b/c the owner is all about dems and events and tvs, but it's such a go-to place it might be a boring place (as much as I personally love it there), and won't make as much a statement as if you can go to say, the 34 club - that's been around since the 40's and Frank Sinatra, democrat extraordinaire, used to hang out there.
and, I don't think I like this one but it might be cool
Chod's St Louis Bar & Chili
205 N 9th St
St Louis, MO 63101-1416
Phone: (314) 621-8445
"To get to Chod's (a.k.a. Candy's) you first have to head down a rather sharp set of steps that descend into the basement of the Mark Twain Hotel, a rather well-known hostel in downtown. Candy's serves as a sort of room away from room for some of the folks upstairs. No one at this bar is without a story, or 10. A true, old-fashioned dive bar, owner Candy offers cheap burgers and chili, plus pool games."
- I'm not sure if this is open anymore.
